The Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, RCPI & RCSI, which was founded in 2002, is a joint faculty between the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. The FSEM is recognised by the State for the purpose of granting evidence of satisfactory completion of specialist training in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
ARTI Athletic Rehabilitation Therapy Ireland represents athletic and rehabilitation therapists, certified (ARTCs). An ARTC is a healthcare professional that specialises in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists is the national professional body and designated authority for physiotherapy in Ireland and represents over 3,000 Chartered Physiotherapists. Chartered Physiotherapists are autonomous practitioners who work across a broad range of clinical areas including sports medicine, musculoskeletal conditions and exercise prescription. Our members manage injury and functional limitations from initial onset through to end stage recovery and high level return to play.
